The Fullwood Foundation, Inc., is a
non-profit IRS-501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation and Registered Maryland
Charitable Organization, founded in 1984.
The Foundation raises funds to support numerous
educational initiatives designed to provide youth with scholarships for higher
education to empower them to successful careers, awards special grants to
organizations that provide vital and exemplary human services, and publicly
honors individuals whose humanitarian deeds substantially improve the quality
of life of the citizens of the State of Maryland.
The Fullwood Foundation charity projects include:
The Annual "Student Essay Contest" and
"Ambassador of the Year" Awards Dinner;
The "First Time Experiences For Children" Project; and
The Annual Choir Extravaganza.
The Annual Fullwood Benefit and Recognition Breakfast raises thousands of dollars to support a variety of community-wide causes, and has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars and scholarships during its 11 years. With an annual attendance of more than 2,000, The Fullwood Breakfast is acclaimed as the largest and most spectacular fund raising event of its kind in the State of Maryland.
Elnora and Harlow Fullwood, Jr., owners of Fullwood
Foods, Inc., which includes some of the most successful KFC franchises in the
USA., have contributed more than $110,000 to Coppin State College and have pledged $35,000 to support Coppin's current Capital Campaign.
