THE FOUR WAY TEST of the Things We Think, Say and Do

These twenty-four simple words.
What an impact they are having on the world because of Rotary.
Penned in a few moments on a raw winter morning in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor as he contemplated how he could inspire his failing company to surve the Great Depression, these words have been tranlated into over 130 languages. They have been accepted by religious, cultural and philosophical leaders around the world since Herb Taylor dedicated The Four-Way Test to Rotary in 1944.
And this basic moral statement of principles now are inspiring a whole new generation of Rotarians to help develop ethical education programmes through poster, essay and speech contests in schools throughout the Rotary world. What better way to instill positive moral values in our youth?
More on how the District 7620 Four Way Test Speech contest came about.
