Hunger Plus - Nourish the Children Programme
 and
Support of Rotary Hunger, Health and Humanity Projects

General Proposal

PROBLEMS DEFINED:
Problem #1: The difficulty that high-profile and highly-paid athletes have to make economically, socially and professionally sound decisions to direct major donations most effectively.

Problem #2 The difficulty of a sports organization (e.g. a professional sports organization) to create a Team approach to charitable giving which has multiple win-win characteristics to the team, to the participating players and staff, to the fans and to the people being served - there are no negatives, only positive results

Problem #3: The vast economic gap between players and fans:   How to relate to fans with such large differences in respective incomes to create a social partnership that benefits players, fans and the needy.

Problem #4: Finding the right charity that everyone can support:  World hunger and nutritional deficiency clearly are universal needs that all can agree must be addressed successfully.  Over four billion of the world's 6.3 billion people live in abject poverty. At least half of those face chronic hunger; and over half of the hungriest are children.  Poverty results in deprivation, and good nutrition is one of the first casualties of deprivation.     It generally is accepted that there is enough food produced in the world for every man, woman and child, according to many agro-economists and humanitarian aid groups. Yet more than 24,000 people die from hunger each day in the world . This unnecessary and preventable tragedy must be addressed.

SOLUTION OFFERED:
A unique antaean solution to this challenge is to combine humanitarian principles with sound business practices, experience and resources involving the most effective funding, food source and distribution networks to provide maximum nutritional value to the greatest number of people at the least possible delivery cost for both contributors and those in need. By this we mean leveraging major donor philanthropy with the demonstrated experience and success of established philanthropic groups to produce results on a far greater scale than is possible from simple donations alone.

To enhance your ability to help others perform charitable acts, we we access the leading global network resource of committed, experienced business and professional leaders to voluntarily partner with and serve your philanthropic interests as a major donor — so as to obtain the same level of spectacular results you have come to expect in your personal endeavors, ensuring that you receive exactly what you desire in leveraging your identity and donations for maximum results.

HOW the sports team's Hunger Plus - Nourish the Children Programme WORKS:
The team identifies a programme coordinator who will offer participation in the Hunger Plus - Nourish the Children Programme to all of the team's active or former players, coaches, administrators, spouses and relatives, associates and fans of the team. Participants will have their contribution made monthly via automatic credit card charge. Global Visions Inc  and Robert Ketron will offer consultation services at no charge to the programme coordinator and the team to to provide administrative assistance.
NSE*  will ship Vitameals (a nutritionally balanced fortified food product that will feed a child for a month with two hearty meals per day) to charitable distribution organizations each month to assist needy families. Identification of those in greatest need are made either by NSE through Nourish the Children and/or its humanitarian partners or can be designated by major participants in this programme Volunteer participation in cash collections:

Rotary Club volunteers with appropriate identification from the team shall be stationed at reasonable intervals outside the stadium to provide informational forms to fans with the opportunity to sign up to support the team's Hunger Plus Nourish the Children programme financially on a regular basis in the name of their favorite player or staff member. In addition, they will accept voluntary contributions from fans and will answer questions regarding the Hunger Plus Nourish the Children programme. They will be directed to at all times provide a positive presence and will not annoy any fan or employee of the team. These volunteers also may be directed by the team to be present elsewhere as requested or desired by the team to collect funds or to promote the programme. All funds collected by Rotary club volunteers will be processed through the clubs and donated in their name and that of the team to appropriate charitable projects and directly for Hunger Plus food purchases and distribution according to the agreed uon formula with the team.

 FAQs :

Who participates as a Contributor :
Any active or former player, coach, administrator, spouse or relative,  associate or fan of the team;

Minimum Contributor Participation :
$50.00 per month, on automatic credit card charge, cancellable upon demand by participant

Maximum Contributor Participation :
None, although the schedule presently offers programs up to $200 per day or $6,000 per month, which can feed approximately 500 children per month with two nutritionally balanced meals per day.

Who Pays the Program Coordinator :
NSE pays the programme coordinator directly a percentage of the cost of all Vitameals purchased, so neither the team nor any other participant is responsible for providing any additional payroll.  NSE also is responsible for all accounting or bookkeeping responsibility for maintaining the programme.  Neither the team nor the programme coordinator will have any accounting costs.

What next?
Upon mutual agreement Major Donor Participants may act as spokespersons for Nourish the Children and/or HungerPlus.

ACTION :
Let's begin the process to overcome hunger..... WHY NOT?
Let's organize charitable giving to attack the problem of hunger in a focused manner
Let's focus on utilizing the talents of participants whose assets otherwise will be taxed away
Lets give in a meaningful, productive manner to reduce and ultimately to eliminate the problem

Why?
Because we have an entire system in place to effect a most desirable result of helping a large number of people in need with tax deductible dollars and which provides a positive public relations image to the team, its players and staff, and which positively involves fan support.

How can I be confident that I am achieving my desired results ?
Accountability... you will have a monthly report on who and where your contribution is affecting and helping provide nutritious meals to the needy.
